Is it covered by OHIP?

No, the Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP) and most Canadian provincial healthcare systems do not cover the costs of vasectomy reversals. The only option is then to have it performed as a privately paid procedure.

Many personal factors including age, medical history and overall health play an important role in achieving the final goal of conceiving a baby. After these considerations Dr. Ramirez results show that about 70% to 90% of having viable semen with spermatozoid cells.

What is the cost?

The cost of a vasectomy reversal varies depending on the geographical location of the practitioner and the hospital where the procedure will be performed. In our area the cost is approximately $4900. This amount includes the surgeon fee, hospital fee and anaesthetic fee.
